What a sad statistic.
I found this to be amazing, but not surprising.
I guess this is more motivation to stay healthy!
I can only hope there will be some much needed reform of the health care system to fix this problem....hopefully before I start practicing medicine.
Drug prices, doctors leaving their specialties, lawsuits causing defensive medicine, expensive new technology, nursing shortages, etc. What a mess!

I don't see many insurance companies fighting to stay afloat (unless it's in their fleet of yachts) and sadly, I believe they control so much that they will never let go of their excessive profits off the backs of those trained to save lives.

It's unfortunate so many have to file bankruptcy over medical bills due to lack of health insurance and it must stop now. I hope our health care system can be improved as more than 45 million lack coverage.
